Ventnor Botanic Gardens
The Ventnor Botanical Gardens lie at the heart of a remarkable microclimate on the south coast of the Isle of Wight in Ventnor. Home to a series of subtropical, rare and increasingly exotic plants that aren’t hidden in protected glasshouses but in fact are thriving in the environment here on the Island. They’re sectioned off through their Mediterranean geographical location – so in a day you can visit all of the spots in the Med, take a trip through Australian gardens and enter a South African Terrace. Certainly a perfect experience to have on a holiday to the UK, and one that we feel can’t be missed.
The gardens are a perfect attraction for all ages – and will allow you to all spend quality time together exploring the gardens, spotting the exotic plants or simply relaxing in the unique microclimate of the Garden. You don’t have to wander around lost – with guided tours available, complete with Children’s trail activities and an outdoor playground perfect for the little ones to let off some steam.
Whether you want to explore the Botanical Gardens on foot or by bike, it’s worth a visit whilst staying with us at Brook House.
